d) April 26th – May 1st – Midget (all ages)

2. Registration for Tryouts will be online. All players must register prior to try-outs.

3. All players should arrive and check-in at least 1 hour prior to their first try-out session. Non-resident players must register in person prior to the first try-out session.

4. Try-out fee is $100. This fee covers “A” and “AE” try-outs if applicable. There is an additional $40 fee for players wishing to try up to the next age level (*See #10).

5. The head coach can make Player releases after the first try-out following these rules;

a) Players trying up to the next age level will get a minimum of 1 skate.

b) All other players trying out at their appropriate age level will get a minimum of 2 skates.

c) Travel try-outs are sequential and cannot be altered by coaches or teams. GMHA reserves the right to make changes to the schedule if required and will make every effort to notify the impacted parties.

6. Midget Rep try outs will begin in the spring and finalize in the fall.

7. Hockey Ops will determine the number of Midget Rep teams offered this season based on registration for spring tryouts.

8. All interested players must try-out with the Minor or Major “A” team that they are eligible for by birth year. If they are released from this team they are eligible to try-out for the “AE” team for their birth year if offered. The coach of the Minor/Major team must provide a GMHA Internal Travel Release Form to the player within 24 hours of being released. No player may try-out for an “AE” team without a release from the coach of the appropriate “A” team at that age level.

9. Players wishing to Play Up will be permitted attend all tryouts with the next age level without losing their eligibility to play for their actual age level.

10. With the exception of minor midget (first year Midget players) all players trying out for an “AE” team must present their GMHA Internal Travel Release Form at the first “AE” try-out session. No player will take the ice without a GMHA Internal Travel Release Form being presented. Release forms will be collected during the hour prior to the appropriate try-out session. Note: A recreational league player cannot AP to an 'AE' team without a GMHA internal travel release signed by the 'A' coach at that level.

11. ***NEW*** Any player wishing to play up a level may do so without restrictions however coaches are limited to a maximum of 2 under age players. Coaches must sign or release under age player(s) no later then the 5th tryout skate. (Does not apply to Midget teams)
